Corporate identity &
brand positioning

The challenge:
Create a name, logo and brand positioning for a fitness product that’s never existed.

Full creative wash-and-wax for a new app that rents out gym memberships by the day, the week, or the month.

The insight:
Many gym memberships go unused.

Athlo is well placed to provide value for existing gym members, casual gym visitors, as well as the gyms themselves.

The idea:
Use it when you need it, rent it out when you don’t.

Essentially, we positioned Athlo as the AirBnB of gym membership.

The execution:
Name = Athlo. Logo = Stylized ‘A’ X Geo Pin.

Of all the shortlisted names, the name “Athlo” was chosen for its ability to capture the breadth of athleticism the app encapsulated (primarily gyms, but also tennis, rowing, etc).

The result:
Strong start despite the post-pandemic challenges surrounding the gym.

No-one knows where the fitness industry is going to end up in 10 years after a global pandemic, but Athlo are certainly going to be a part of it.
