History in 75 words:
Elana escaped Johannesburg in 2014 – with little more than a bag, a surfboard, a dream, and some mad creative skills. Illustration, design, and animation – Elana does the lot. She arrived in J-Bay and put those skills to use immediately – both in a design shop and on the waves. All while finishing her Graphic Design degree through the University of Hertfordshire. Respect.

Elbé is a mind-boggling mixture of left-brain and right-brain strengths. She thrives on being constantly challenged with new adventures at all times. She qualified, and practiced as a Physiotherapist. She is now the in-house team Physiotherapist and Resource Coordinator at Hats+Rabbits where she gets to make sure that team members and timelines are functioning optimally at all times.

From award winning agencies, leading financial companies, political parties to international tech startups, Ivan’s worked for them all. When not developing typefaces, designing infographics or developing startup identities, he still makes beats, reads comics and binges TV shows with his wife and two doggos.

Born in Zimbabwe, finished school in South Africa. Then spent 10 years in London working at Haygarth, and then Iris. Johnny was then transferred to New York, where he spent the next 10 years. Initially as ECD of Iris NY, then ECD of Saatchi NY, then ECD of Jack Morton Worldwide’s NY office. Started Hats+Rabbits in 2014 on the belief that clients and talent deserve better from agencies. Never looked back.

Born in London and sent away to school as soon as his parents could organise. Spent 10 years learning the ropes at Haygarth before pursuing a career as a professional chef. Having worked at a number of restaurants including the River Café, he was finally reduced to tears by Gordon Ramsay. Ollie has grown the London side of the operation from the a single desk to the central Soho hub it is now!

Born in the cultural metropolis of Lincoln, success came early for Will who landed a job as a logistics executive in the catering industry. After being dubbed Dominos’ fastest delivery boy, Will moved onto bigger things and studied law at Newcastle University. After realising Suits was not in fact a documentary, he decided to pursue a career in marketing. Will likes to merge his jurisprudential ability with creativity to form a fully integrated approach to thinking.
